Competition
Competition is completely optional, but it is highly recommended that everyone experiences at least one competition. The competitions have a much more relaxed atmosphere than many youth club and high school competitions following NAIGC's motto "For the love of the sport". This allows the competitors to compete at the intensity they want from beginner all the way to elite level routines.
We typically have 4-5 season competitions and then NAIGC Nationals, hosted in various locations around the country each year. Competitors must compete in 2 meets in order to be eligible to compete at NAIGC nationals.
Women's scoring at NAIGC competitions is out of a 10.0 and is judged according to Junior Olympic Program Level 9 Rules with slight variations. Men's scoring is open ended and follows Level 9 Junior Olympic Program Rules with slight variations as well.
